The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) announced the submission of RBSF-CIF form, while it has released an updated form, version 4. Cyprus Investment Firms (CIFs) are requested to submit this form electronically via TRS, the latest by 15:00 on Friday, 18th of June, 2021.

The Form must be completed and successfully submitted to CySEC by all CIFs that were authorised by December 31, 2020, including the firms that have not made use of their authorization. These changes enhance reporting in identifying money laundering or terrorism financing.

There will be no extension to the deadline. Any CIF that will not comply, will have to bear administrative penalties as of section 37(5) of the Law.

It is worth noting that the new form collects more information related to the

• shareholders and also the background of the Board of Directors,
• product, services, and transactions,
• countries and geographical areas,
• customer analysis, and
• internal policies and procedures.
